How common is swinging among JWs?
by JimmyPage inmy wife and i recently heard about two couples we know who switched partners in the past.
we then got to talking about a different couple we ate dinner with a while back who i thought gave off the vibe of wanting to swing.
my wife said she got that vibe too... thus the question: how common is this in wt-land?.

I didn't get the impression the couples we knew were even having sex with each other. Hard to believe.
But if you felt the vibes, I believe it. Creepy!

Does you get reely annoiyed at posta's who start thred's wif typo's in the titel?
by yadda yadda 2 indo you find it annoying and insulting when someone starts a thread with typos in the title?
i snort in contempt when i see a new thread started and the poster hasn't even bothered getting the spelling correct in the title, or starts the thread off with a post full of typos and crap grammar.
i've found that the more stupid mistakes there are in the title of a thread and in the poster's initial post, the less interesting and worthy of reading is the thread.

Preaching to JW's
by k9groomer ini know everyone here has different feelings about "religion/god, etc.
" i now consider myself christian, got baptized in a baptist church, etc.. i have my own business and have two jw's that occasionally work for me.
my mom is a devout jw.. the other day for a reason that came up unrelated to religion/god, a groomer who works for me was asking me about the church woman's bible study i'm involved with while we were working.

I read 2 books by Philip Yancey this winter, that I weave into conversations all the time. They are full of thought provoking questions and bits of information. They are both easy reads.

Ray Franz on Fear Among JWs
by compound complex into this day, in all countries, any persons among jehovah's witnesses who find they cannot conscientiously support fully the organization's teachings or practices live in a climate of fear, feeling they must constantly be on guard as to what they say, what they do, what they read, with whom they associate, from whom they receive letters, not feeling any sense of freedom even when among personal friends or close relatives if these are also witnesses.
as stated, in my personal experience i have had people phone who were afraid to give their name or who felt it necessary to use a fictitious name, some who even felt it necessary to take out a special post office box to be able to correspond without danger of their correspondence with me or other former witnesses being discovered.
they face a form of "hostage" situation, produced by the organization's authority.

Yes 2 separate Jc's several years apart. It created a tear in the fabric of our family that is only recently begun to be mended. The son I spoke about was sincere in his beliefs. But always treated with suspicion. I didn't understand back then. After his JC I saw more clearly.
Thank you , we are all healing. Blithe

LoL! It happens all the time. But what gets really funny is when your adult children act like you & the grandkids act like their parents. The fun never stops.
